Our jewelry items are handmade with precious metals, and therefore it's very important to take care of your jewelry at all times.
Getting Ready
Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on when you're getting ready in the morning.
Avoid wearing them in the shower or bath, as this can cause tarnishing and oxidation of the metals, which will affect the appearance.
Also make sure you put the jewelry on after you've applied any make-up, perfumes or deodorants, as these strong chemicals can also damage the jewelry and change its appearance or colour.
Are my items waterproof?
All of our jewelry items are of high quality and designed to last. However, they are still vulnerable to problems such as oxidation.
Avoid consistent contact with liquids as our Sterling Silver and Gold-Plated items are water-resistant, but not waterproof and can therefore be damaged by prolonged exposure to water, such as when showering or swimming.
Excessive sweating while wearing our jewelry should also be avoided.
Storage & Care
Just like your skin, jewelry can be affected by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly the birthstones!
When you're not wearing your jewelry, store them in a cool, dry place, such as the jewelry box and pouch provided with your order.
Avoid using strong cleaning or polishing chemicals with your jewelry, as this can damage the metal, particularly in the case of our plated items. Instead, you can use the soft silver polishing cloth provided with our Sterling Silver orders to clean your jewelry and restore them to their usual brilliance!
